Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

What the job involves:

Working within Unite Students` charity Unite Foundation, you`ll be supporting the Unite Foundation Director and Head of Operations in the day-to-day delivery of communications and marketing activities for this national charitable trust, with the aim to improve the life chances of care leavers and estranged students.

To give you an idea of what to expect, you`ll be:

  • Providing hands-on support in the design, development, planning and delivery of key communication activities across a range of media
  • Developing and managing stocks of marketing resources
  • Implementing a social media and website communications plan, and delivering regular and appropriate content for all digital communications
  • Acting as a press officer, supporting links with key media
  • Assisting in the development of reports, briefings and other written communications as necessary

What we look for in you:

Although you may not have worked in the charitable sector before, you will be:

  • An engaging, confident and sensitive communicator, able to build rapport with a wide range of contacts
  • A creative thinker with strong influencing skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs
  • Equipped with outstanding writing and proof reading skills with great accuracy, attention to detail, and an ability to create clear, crisp copy to a defined brief
  • Skilled inbuilding positive and effective relationships at all levels
