Our fantastic Finance team are looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to support the financial performance of ourbusiness, providing quality analysis and challenge to optimise our returns in an engaging and enthusiastic team based in our Bristol office.

This is a vital role in delivering accurate and timely financial analysis and forecasting for the business, decision support to the People leadership team and Exec, and high quality line management of one business partner. The role works closely with FP&A managers for Property and Operations areas and reports to Head of FP&A, having overall responsibility for Group financial planning.

What you`ll be doing

  • Support to People Director, COO and Exec on head office performance
  • Forecasting of all overheads costs / consolidated head office forecast (incl. recharging/converting to Unite share)
  • Ownership of Head office(s) headcount forecast
  • Impact of head office change programmes incl. Edison and also small scale changes
  • Central contact for all cost centres and cost centre business partnering at Unite
  • Individual responsibility for management of Corporate costs centres e.g. HR, IT, Finance, Directors
  • Works closely with management accounting team
  • Effective line management of one business partner, including managing performance, consistent use of 1-1 meetings, identifying personal development needs and supporting and coaching

What we`re looking for in you

  • Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial post qualification experience gained within a commercial environment
  • Experience of working in Oracle EPM preferred
  • Excellent communications skills including inspiring trust and influencing; communicating technical financial information in a clear and commercial manner; adapting style and content for different audiences; and demonstrating a confident, credible and accomplished presentation style.
  • Evidence of working in a fast paced, high change environment and able to manage multiple demands effectively whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
  • An ability to develop effective working relationships with senior internal and external business stakeholders
  • Ability to provide challenge and hold to account commercial teams in order to drive business performance
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The ability to understand, empathise with and deliver against customer needs
  • Possesses and promotes a positive attitude, with the ability to adapt swiftly and a willingness to undertake challenging tasks
