The Role
A key divisional role, working across the North or South, the post-holder will roll out initiatives that support our property teams to inspire and empower their residents to model positive community values and shared responsibilities, including living sustainably.
The post-holder will work with a network of Resident Ambassadors (students who live with us) to create opportunities for resident-led activity and strengthen resident voice in our work.
This is a 12-month fixed term role, supporting with a year of embedding brilliance across all our properties. The role requires regular travel and active engagement with our property teams and Resident Ambassadors across their division. For the duration of the fixed-term the post holder will work under the leadership of their divisional Resident Wellbeing & Experience Manager.
What You`ll Be Doing
- Working to the Resident Experience Programmes strategy, ensure the delivery of activities (e.g. 6 Week Welcome), events and engagement opportunities for residents.
- Support teams with Courageous Conversations training in order to promote positive behaviours
- Support teams in delivering engagement initiatives to influence sustainable living behaviours including waste reduction, recycling, energy awareness
- Coordinate and support a regional/divisional network of Resident Ambassadors (or other rep roles) to ensure resident voice is central to our work.
- Facilitate feedback channels that allow residents to contribute ideas and shape community initiatives - and empower property teams to do the same
- Track engagement levels and provide regular reports
- Work collaboratively with internal teams
- Act as a positive role model for our values, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.
- Represent resident voice in conversations related to sustainability and community wellbeing.
- Role model our customer service principles `CARE` - Connect, Act, Respect, Encourage and support our property teams in embedding this in their work
- Work closely with the Resident Experience Officer & Resident Engagement Co-ordinator to understand the central strategy in order to operationalise and embed this across the division
- Work closely with Resident Wellbeing & Experience Officers to understand the nuances of the regions and cities in your division, `troubleshooting` where data and insights requires targeted support or training interventions
What We`re Looking for in You
- Experience in resident or community engagement and bringing people together
- Passionate about creating great experiences and a sense of belonging
- Demonstrable understanding of young people`s needs and behaviours
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience delivering workshops or training sessions
- Confidence working with diverse groups
- Creative, proactive, and able to inspire and motivate others.
