The Role

Our fantastic Technology Projects team is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join them at an incredibly exciting time for the business. The purpose of the role is to provide support to several IT projects, including Networking, Data, and Infrastructure. Working alongside teams from Information, Data and Technology, Estates, Procurement, Contractors, and key suppliers, you will play an active role in the overall technology projects delivery in our properties across the UK.

This role will be responsible for forging strong relationships with stakeholders, who will principally be the operations teams, key business sponsors of different workstreams from around the business and, crucially, creating and maintaining strong working relationships with key contractors.

This role is based in our Bristol office and is a 12 month fixed-term contract.

What You`ll Be Doing

  • Manage a portfolio of IT projects including reporting, deliverables, and benefits tracking.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure budgets are managed by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders across IT and the business to ensure alignment to deliver the project.
  • Manage third-party suppliers to deliver to time, cost and quality.
  • Ensure Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies are managed effectively.
  • Monitor progress against project plan and budget, correcting and / or escalating abnormal situations.

What We`re Looking for in You

  • In-depth experience in IT implementation projects involving infrastructure, networking, and data.
  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling, and closing IT projects with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise your own and others workloads.
  • Ability to translate IT terminology into clear language that non-IT colleagues can understand.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile certification desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience in preparing and managing project budgets.
  • Resilient in the face of setbacks, with the ability to adapt plans and timescales to changes in circumstances.
  • Familiarity with multiple project tools such as MS Projects, Monday.com, and Smartsheets is desirable.
  • Familiarisation with the Building Safety Act and Access Agreements (including Wayleaves) is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of data protection legislation and experience of developing and maintaining a team environment where personal data is kept protected, confidential and secure.
