The Role
Unite Students` fantastic Sales team are looking for an experienced Sales Advisor to join the team in London.
The purpose of the role is to form an integral part of the international sales team, delivering high quality sales and customer service, working collaboratively with colleagues, agents and students. The role includes offering customer service to Chinese students primarily on Business WeChat to answer queries to customers reaching out on Unite Students` WeChat mini-programme, as well as supporting with enquiries on other social media channels, via email and occasionally over the phone. The post holder will also assist students processing their booking, and supporting with pre and post sales support. You will be involved in sales for short stays and academic year bookings.
Working Pattern
- Working days - Saturday to Wednesday (5 days)
- Working hours 6am - 2:30pm (1hr lunch break)
- Flexibility may be needed at certain times of the year working any time from 6am to 2.30pm to working from 9:00am to 5 or 5:30pm
- Working location: Hybrid working, working from the London office 2 to 3 days a week and from home the rest of the time
What You`ll Be Doing
- Assisting customers in a professional and courteous manner and providing information regarding our properties and services across the UK.
- Conducting sales conversations with Chinese customers and sometimes with agents, with passion and enthusiasm and according to Unite Students sales process, via channels including WeChat, other social media, calls, emails ...
- Processing room availability checks for short stays and for academic year stays; answering all enquiries
- Processing bookings and follow-up with customers to close the sales
- Following-up on issues requiring action in a timely manner, engaging with other colleagues when necessary
- Providing a decisive and effective response to complaints, assisting in and resolving customer disputes and escalating where necessary
- Attending events (online and offline) targeting Chinese customers.
- Maintaining positive relationships with customers, with colleagues in the UK, and with our China office.
- Communicating our latest marketing / promotional offers to customers.
- Advising customers on the USPs of Unite Students properties and on booking T&Cs.
- Performing competition analysis and reporting on competitors and agent offers.
What We`re Looking for in You
- Chinese native speaker; (written and spoken fluency in Mandarin)
- The post holder must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Ability to work outside or regular office hours to communicate with customers based overseas if / when needed
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and demonstrate an objective, professional and calm approach when handling difficult situations
- Ability to build relationships internally and with third party suppliers
- Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office, WeChat, WeCom, Little Red Book and other Chinese social media.
- Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy & attention to detail
- Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritising tasks when required, multitasking and meeting deadlines
- Previous experience of working within a sales and marketing environment with administrative tasks
- Highly skilled in advising and delivering against customer needs
- Possesses a positive and collegiate attitude, with the ability to adapt swiftly and a willingness to undertake challenging tasks to ensure customer satisfaction
- Self-motivated and possessing the ability to work on own initiative
