Finda Komba Service and Sales Advisor
I’ve worked at UNITE students for just over 2 years and have enjoyed every moment! I actually learnt all about the business as a resident during my time at university in Birmingham. The staff were both friendly and caring, and that’s something I’ll always remember. So when the opportunity to join the company came up, I was really excited and looking forward to having a similar impact on the students.
I’m now a Service and Sales Advisor in Reading. We’re a close team and are always willing to work together towards a common goal. Every day brings its own challenges, but we pride ourselves in doing our best, with a smile!
We have fun and try to create an atmosphere and experience that both students and staff enjoy. Being part of such a great team has allowed me to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
“Coming from a student background myself, I get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction out of working closely with students.”

Jonny Epps Service and Safety Supervisor
My experience with Unite Students is continually an adventure, always full of surprises and new challenges. I’m travelling to different cities all over the UK, meeting new people and making new friends.
When I first started, I quickly discovered this was a company I could grow with. Five years later and I’ve progressed to Service and Safety Supervisor of two growing cities. Working in Reading has been a great experience. The team are so warm and friendly, and make it a really fun place to work. Now that our team has widened, with the inclusion of Oxford, we have an even bigger, close-knit team.
Coming from a student background myself, I get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction out of working closely with students. I enjoy helping them to grow, develop and enhance their university experience.
“I love the people I work with and the students are absolutely the best bit.”
Our people Sarbjit Sidhu City Manager
Sarbjit Sidhu loves the challenge that each new day brings. For her being a City Manager isn’t just a job, it’s a real vocation.
Sarbjit Sidhu City Manager
It’s the fact that no two days are the same which makes being a City Manager such an exciting role. When I joined 8 years ago I didn’t imagine this is what I would be doing today, but Unite Students have really helped to support my talent and ambition. I’ve worked my way up from a Service and Sales Advisor and each role has given me a different experience and insight into the business.
It’s a fast-paced environment and we’re continually growing. Sometimes it can be tough, but everyone really looks out for each another and there’s always support available.
I love the people I work with and the students are absolutely the best bit. You see them grow and succeed in the most fundamental part of their lives. It’s not just a job, you know you’ve played a part in their future success.
