The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a customer-focussed IT Service Desk team, to work as part of the team to support the day-to-day front line IT support to the business. You will be providing general technical support and assistance to end users across Unite Students, and act as a key point of contact between employees across Unite Students in order progress all IT service incidents and requests.

What you`ll be doing

  • Own and progress support incidents and service requests is an efficient and transparent manor to resolution.
  • Ensure all work and client communications are responded to in a timely manner and recorded on the Service Desk system.
  • Ensure requesters are kept up to date with current support information.
  • Assist & support in new project implementations.
  • Ensure adherence to the IT policies for the Service Desk team, as well as end users.
  • Follow a consistent way of call handling that puts the customer first.
  • Complete hardware and software installations.
  • Follow defined approval processes for related service requests.
  • Assist with other Service Desk priorities including daily operational tasks and checks.
  • Identify repeat issues and propose team/departmental improvements.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all customers through a range of written and verbal communication channels.
  • Work to SLA and KPI targets including management of calls to closure, escalation of calls to Technical Engineers and customer satisfaction.

What we`re looking for in you

  • Aptitude in IT systems and software support. Can demonstrate excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience of supporting the following Microsoft products - Office 365, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint Online, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016), Microsoft InTune.
  • Experienced in LAN networking, user access control and client management using Active Directory and Group Policy, supporting varied business critical software packages, peripherals and mobile devices, remote access tools and IP Telephony.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm and pragamatic approach to workload.
  • Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about IT Service Management
  • A willingness to learn and constantly develop new skills and proven ability to work in a team and on own initiative.

  • Flexibility to work from home while also regularly working from our head office and regular visits to Unite Student locations and external partners nationwide
