What you`ll be doing

The Mobile Engineering Lead will be a knowledgeable, proactive self-starter with extensive experience in developing world class mobile applications. You will be a high performer in your field and a proven problem-solver, keen to expand on your current skillset in a vibrant and dynamic environment that will challenge and excite you.

Working in an agile team, you will design, build and support quality software solutions on our mobile platforms, integrating with core platforms and third-party services to meet the needs of our stakeholders, promote our brand and enhance our customer experience.

  • Lead a team of passionate mobile app engineers.
  • Participate in technical, design, and product discussions with teams across the organisation to define and scope product requirements.
  • Build for resilience and reliability, ensuring consideration for ongoing maintenance requirements and reduction of technical debt.
  • A strong understanding of complex native mobile applications to help set the direction for iOS and Android as we scale.
  • Comfortable making direct contributions to code on at least one mobile platform.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; you will have come from an environment in which people are responsible for their own code.

What we`re looking for in you

  • 7+ years of professional experience in developing iOS and Android applications.
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical lead of a Mobile Engineering team.
  • Proficient in mobile app development using native, React Native or Flutter.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of mobile specific tools, best practices and challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative agile environment.
  • Solid understanding of web-oriented architecture, RESTful services, JSON, GraphQL, SQL, No-SQL, HTML, CSS - list not exhaustive.
  • Knowledge of source control, continuous integration, code coverage, static analysis and automated tests.
