Cloud Enablement and Infrastructure

We have a cloud-first approach, and we`re here to help the rest of our technology colleagues adopt the technologies and tools they need to be successful. We ensure the smooth running of complex and distributed systems and implement inventive solutions to maintain system reliability, security, performance and scalability.

What you`ll be doing

We`re looking for hands-on technical expertise in Cloud, CI/CD, DevOps/automation and ideally proven experience of Low-Code platforms in a secure environment. The role demands the smooth running of complex and distributed systems, to collaborate with Agile and engineering teams in implementing inventive solutions that maintain system reliability, security standards whilst meeting performance and scalability requirements.

• Scope, design, build and operate multi-cloud services that multiple engineering teams can use within their products to help them deliver value faster, safer and more reliably.
• Provide hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure services to supplement the skills in the engineering teams. This could be prototyping how a newly released service, providing value or working with the team to troubleshoot how a service is behaving.
• Implement automation leveraging DevOps best practices.
• Support architects to make design choices that will scale and be easy to operate within Cloud services, and provide guidance on security/performance/operational constraints.
• Identify shortfalls and streamline delivery, increase agility through the adoption of increased automation and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance and support for business projects.
• Use your technical expertise to demonstrate best practice to colleagues through the delivery of high-quality technical work.
• BAU support of existing systems and support requests.
• Achieve SLA adherence on infrastructure hosted systems.
• Liaise with vendors & suppliers to ensure any support requests are dealt with as required to ensure maximum uptime across all systems.

What we`re looking for in you

• Design and support experience in a wide range of Enterprise grade Cloud based technology is essential.
• Multi Cloud Platform administration experience which could include Azure, AWS.
• Experience in some of the following technologies; Azure DevOps, AKS, PowerShell, Python, LogicMonitor, VMware, Veeam, Office 365.
• Experience of scripting and Automation through IaaS/PaaS/IaC pipelines.
• Experience in configuration management tooling, such as Terraform/Ansible.
• Experience of working within an Agile framework/team.
• Evidence of vocational certifications in current Cloud enterprise technologies is desirable (e.g. MS AZ-400 Exam)
• Experience of working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
• Insatiable appetite for learning new platforms, scripting and automation technologies.
• Experience of CI/CD tooling and Container Orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.
• Experience of ServiceNow & SalesForce desirable.
• Knowledge and experience working with DBs and cloud native DBs such as PostgreSQL, RedShift, Mongo and NoSQL storage systems desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills and customer focus.
• Proven project delivery experience in an environment with little management or supervision.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Availability for IT Ops team`s On-call rota.
