The Role

As an Emergency Call Handler at Unite Students, you will become part of a highly skilled and supportive 24-hour team, taking a variety of incoming calls from customers and colleagues to provide them with an appropriate and reassuring response to urgent situations. This could range from helping a locked-out student get back into their room, to calling the emergency services during more serious incidents.

You`ll need to be patient, calm under pressure and an excellent communicator. We`re looking for someone who can maintain great customer service and remain solution-focussed during both routine and challenging interactions.

Hours and Pay

The team covers 24 hours, so you`ll be working 12-hour night and day shifts on a two-week rota - never more than 37.5 hours per week.

Your annual salary will be £20,332 with a £2,000 uplift after three months.

What We`re Looking for in You

• Ideally, you`ll have Contact Centre experience or similar
• Excellent communication skills and a confident phone manner
• Great team spirit; passionate about your customers` and team`s success
• Patient, calm and logical under pressure
• Willingness to work as part of a rota, including nights and weekends
